New Partnership with Weddington Pre-School
Does your child attend Weddington Pre-School? Are they 4 years old? Do you require early morning and/or after Pre-School care for your child/ren?
Weddington Primary Out of Hours Club can provide this care. We can deliver your child to Pre-School in the morning and collect them at 3.15pm.
For further details please contact Stephanie King at Out of Hours or Natalie Gudgeon at Pre-School
With Remembrance Day approaching, the children will be given the opportunity to buy a poppy (and other Remembrance Day merchandise) at break times.
A small donation can be sent in for a poppy (suggested 20p).
Pencils, reflectors & wristbands are 50p
Friendship bracelets & rulers are £1
Please send your child with the correct money in a sealed envelope or bag as no change can be given.
Year 4 children gave a fantastic performance of Harvest Hope to their families, friends and the rest of the school. They worked hard to produce a polished performance and, thanks to the generosity of families throughout the school, collected a huge amount of food, which was donated to the Nuneaton Food Bank.
A group call message was recently sent out to parents stating that WCC will no longer be providing the service of the Lollypop person on the Weddington Road from next Thursday.
This message was sent so that parents would be aware that families and children would have to cross on their own. In hindsight, it would have been helpful to explain that the current School Crossing Patrol person is retiring. Apologies for any misunderstanding caused.
The good news is that Warwickshire County Council will not be ending the service. They have carried out their assessments; they are not withdrawing the funding.
The other good news is that they would like some help in recruiting to the vacancy. School Crossing Patrols are normally associated with the school, either a grandparent or parent. If you know of anyone who may be interested then please pass on the details.
Details of the vacancy are as follows:
The role of a SCP is term time only - £7.1897 per hour
Hours of work will be approx 8.10 – 8.55 am and 3.10 – 3.50pm
Uniform and training will be provided.
To apply please contact the SCP service on 01926 412661 or email scp@warwickshire.gov.uk
Please leave your contact details and an application pack will be sent out to you.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
