Year 1 recently went on a school trip to Brandon Marsh.
The children had lots of fun and did...
Pond dipping- talked about who would live in a pond, the life cycle of a frog and searched for animals, mainly Bog Babies!
Sensory games -in sensory gardens listening to sounds, looking and feeling different plants and making a potion in a pot (using plants and flowers)of lovely smells to entice Bog Baby to the garden!
Art in the Woodlands - with twigs and logs to make a Bog Baby (like Andy Goldsworthys work!)
Woodlands fun- rubbings on trees and played hugging tree game.Even the adults joined in!!
The children had the chance to look around the education classroom that had a huge snail and a bee hive. The parents paid for a goody bag from the shop.
Thanks to all the adults that supported the trip.
Remember this Friday (13th March) is Comic relief day.
Come dressed up in red or your own clothes with a funny face to celebrate the day.
Good luck to Year 6 sitting their mock tests this week.
You've worked really hard this year, show us how brilliant you all are.
Remember, early nights and a good breakfast
This afternoon Year 4 set up an exhibition in the KS2 hall to showcase all of their France and Sound projects.
Each child was set a task to create a project about an area of our France or Sound topic that they had enjoyed or wanted to find out more about. The project could be anything but it had to include a writing element.
Well done everyone, lots of fantastic projects and writing.
Don't forget this Thursday (5th March) is World Book Day
Make sure you check out their website to find out more information.
Reading is so important in helping your child to improve in all aspects of their education. Please continue to support the school by hearing your child read regularly and exposing them to a wide range of texts.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
