A group call message was recently sent out to parents stating that WCC will no longer be providing the service of the Lollypop person on the Weddington Road from next Thursday.
This message was sent so that parents would be aware that families and children would have to cross on their own. In hindsight, it would have been helpful to explain that the current School Crossing Patrol person is retiring. Apologies for any misunderstanding caused.
The good news is that Warwickshire County Council will not be ending the service. They have carried out their assessments; they are not withdrawing the funding.
The other good news is that they would like some help in recruiting to the vacancy. School Crossing Patrols are normally associated with the school, either a grandparent or parent. If you know of anyone who may be interested then please pass on the details.
Details of the vacancy are as follows:
The role of a SCP is term time only - £7.1897 per hour
Hours of work will be approx 8.10 – 8.55 am and 3.10 – 3.50pm

Please leave your contact details and an application pack will be sent out to you.
