Children are expected to dress appropriately whilst attending the school and to wear our uniform, which is based on the colours royal blue and grey.
For boys, this is typically: grey trousers; a light blue polo shirt and a royal blue jumper (with or without the school logo). Boys can also wear grey shorts during the summer months.
For girls, the uniform consists of: a grey skirt; a pinafore or pair of trousers, a light blue polo shirt/blouse and a royal blue jumper/cardigan (with or without the school logo). In warmer weather, girls may wear dresses in the school colours e.g. blue and white gingham. Skirts and dresses should be to the knee.
We expect all children to wear sensible black shoes with no logos.
Black shorts or leggings and a plain white t-shirt or polo shirt should be worn for P.E. A tracksuit or sweatshirt and trainers can be worn for outdoor P.E in the colder months.
It is possible to buy our uniform and book bags from the Nuneaton ‘School Wear Centre’ and ‘Match Fit Kit’. Other items can be bought more cheaply in supermarkets such as ASDA and TESCO. It is essential that all items of uniform, coats, shoes etc. are named using name tags or by writing your child’s name onto the labels in pen – check after a few washes!
Jewellery - of any kind - can be dangerous in school so rings, chains and ear-rings etc. are not allowed. Studs in the ears are acceptable but removal will be requested for certain activities, for example, PE and swimming. If ears are newly pierced, and the studs cannot be removed, they need to be covered with plasters during PE/swimming lessons please. Body piercings other than a small stud in the ears are not allowed.
Make up, nail varnish and tattoos are not allowed in school. Please do not allow your child to have ‘extreme’ hair styles or colours during term time. (No dyed hair or shaved heads/zig-zag lines – these should be left for the summer holidays). The school relies on your support in these matters to uphold the standards of dress codes and appearance of pupils in school.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
