Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
As you may be aware, on 28th June, we had a monitoring visit from OFSTED. The purpose of this visit was to ensure that we doing everything we need to in order to receive a 'Good' rating at our next official inspection.
We were incredibly pleased with the feedback we received on the day, it was great that all of the hard work of everyone at Weddington was recognised in such a positive way.
The final report has now arrived so we are delighted to be able to share the feedback with you all, we're sure you will agree, it is wonderful!
Of course, we must also thank all of the wonderful families we have at Weddington Primary School. Their continued support and awesome feedback make this journey, to being given the rating we deserve, all the more enjoyable.

Tomorrow, with the England in the semi finals, we would like the children to wear red and white to school. Face paint and hair spray are fine as are red and white football strips.
All donations will go to support the Phillips family as they try to come to terms with their tragic loss and Luke begins his recovery.
Some parents may be aware that two former pupils of the schoolsadly lost their father last week in a RTA, and the younger brotherremains in hospital. The School have been shocked and saddenedby this news and have decided to hold a collection for thebrothers.
Thought has been given to this and it has been decided that dueto England's progression in the World Cup we would like to inviteall pupils to wear red and white tomorrow (Wednesday 11th July)and in return we would ask you to make a kind donation tosupport the brothers at this very difficult time.
Many thanks for your support, Weddington Primary School
Due to the extremely hot weather forecast for tomorrow sports day will be held in and around the trees on the year 3/4 field. We have quite a few gazebos but need as many as possible. We will be setting up from 8am and if anyone has a gazebo or parasol you could bring along to use we would be very grateful. We will use indoor spaces too so that children, staff and spectators can be kept out of the sun at all times. Please come along and help and we will make the most of the glorious weather without the dangers 😎
Please remember to send your child with sunscreen applied and a sun hat and a water bottle.

Meet the Teachers
Dear Parents/Carers,
Please join us for ‘meet the teachers’ at 6pm this Thursday in your child’s new year group (year 4 to take place Tuesday 10th July) as mentioned in our previous newsletter.
The evening will begin with a short presentation to share information and expectations for the year ahead.
If you have children in more than one year group, please visit both year groups where teachers will be around to speak to you and answer any questions you may have.
Copies of the presentation will also be available.
We look forward to seeing you there J
