Year 1 recently went on a school trip to Brandon Marsh.
The children had lots of fun and did...
Pond dipping- talked about who would live in a pond, the life cycle of a frog and searched for animals, mainly Bog Babies!
Sensory games -in sensory gardens listening to sounds, looking and feeling different plants and making a potion in a pot (using plants and flowers)of lovely smells to entice Bog Baby to the garden!
Art in the Woodlands - with twigs and logs to make a Bog Baby (like Andy Goldsworthys work!)
Woodlands fun- rubbings on trees and played hugging tree game.Even the adults joined in!!
The children had the chance to look around the education classroom that had a huge snail and a bee hive. The parents paid for a goody bag from the shop.
Thanks to all the adults that supported the trip.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
