On Tuesday, along with millions of other people all around the world, we celebrated Safer Internet Day. This year's theme was 'Want to Talk About it?' and we certainly did a lot of that! To begin our day, Mrs Haw's wonderful Digital Heroes team bravely delivered an awesome assembly to the entire school, letting them know what Safer Internet Day is, before discussing both the positives and negatives of going online and highlighting the importance of having someone to talk to when things go wrong. Throughout the day, each year group then completed lessons that further explored the importance of talking through any issues they have during their time online. In the evening, Mrs Haw delivered a talk to parents, using a presentation provided by Internet Matters, to discuss issues that young people face online and how to help their child circumvent these so they can enjoy all the benefits the internet has to offer.
