On Friday 29th September, Weddington Primary School proudly hosted their annual Macmillan Coffee afternoon.
We were once again overwhelmed by the support from the school community, not only from all the generous donations of cakes and money received from you all, but also the support given by staff, pupils and parents in setting up the coffee afternoon.
Special thanks must go to Mrs Lloyd and Mrs Boneham for their help preparing the hall on Friday afternoon and of course Miss Bilson who works tirelessly raising money for Macmillan throughout the year.
Well done to Amelia S who won the guess the height of the cake competition with a guess of 90cm (it was 94cm).
We are waiting on a final figure raised but can confidently say, we have raised a significant amount to support all the hard work that Macmillan do.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
