Children at Weddington Primary School enjoyed a street party lunch to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday on Friday 10th June. The kitchen staff at the school worked hard to provide packed lunches and, thanks to the warm weather, the whole school was able to share lunch outside - under bunting that the children had made earlier in the week. Miss Randall, history co-ordinator at the school, organised the event and also arranged for all the children to take part in a ‘Dancing through the Decades’ workshop led by Amanda Kirkland. They thoroughly enjoyed learning dances representing the years since the Queen’s birth, including the Charleston, the Jive and 80’s disco dancing.
