Today we welcomed “The Power of One” anti-bullying show into Weddington Primary.
Two actors used coloured boxes and masks to vividly portray what bullying is and what can be done about it.
Their message focused on how every child has the power of one, the power to report and deal with bullying when they see it.
They began by outlining the different types of bullying that can occur:
Their scenes showed examples of each type of bullying and progressed to outline the different roles in bullying: Bully, Target, and Bystander.
All of the children in the audience then took the Power of One anti-bullying oath and will be signing a poster board showing the oath:
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
