Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Dear Parents, Carers and Students
Can I firstly introduce myself as your newly elected chair of governors; Hayley Aley. I am sure you will see me regularly at the school as I have 2 children in key stage 2. Governors also elected our deputy chair whom, again, lots of you will know; Adele Smith. Please feel free to have a chat with us or get in touch with any queries through the usual route.
We are nearing half term and what a term it has been so far. I am sure you will all join me in being so proud of the achievements of the school. The Ofsted report has detailed just how good the school has become; its caring, inclusive, innovative, commitment to all children was clearly identified. The head, deputy and full team at Weddington all work tirelessly to ensure a safe, fun, educational and inspiring environment for all students .
The full governing board work hard to support the school whilst holding the head to account, which we will continue to do. This was also highlighted by Ofsted, reporting us as a body who are clearly well informed and involved closely on all decisions and processes across the school.
We have just completed an election process for a new parent governor. Thank you to both candidates who applied and I can confirm the successful candidate is Kelly Nicklin. We look forward to working together.
Please take 5 minutes to check out the new banner at the school gate celebrating the Ofsted findings and, hopefully, we can get our wonderful school into the local newspaper. I’m sure the school will communicate if we manage to get a feature in the paper.
We are all so proud of our students and hope they all have a lovely half term break. We look forward to another busy term with so many key dates, including trips, summer fair, leavers’ prom, school sports dates and lots more besides.
Have a lovely half term break all.
Hayley Aley
Chair of governors.
We are very proud to announce that, our beautiful broody hen has studiously sat on her precious eggs and successfully hatched 6 super fluffy chicks.
Mummy and babies are loving life in our quad, growing quickly and enjoying the sunshine. Children and staff are very much enjoying taking time out of their day to admire Mummy hen and her babies.
