Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
This week DHL came into school to talk to the children in KS2 all about road safety around lorries.
It was fascinating to learn about how much the driver could hear and see from inside the cabin. At one point during the talk we had the entire class shouting from behind the lorry and the driver couldn't hear them!
All the children came away from the session with lots of important safety messages that they will take away with them.
Year 4 visited Thinktank science museum in Birmingham on Friday.
There was so much to see and do with over 4 floors of hands on activities.
The children went to see the Cauldron Chemistry show, this was packed full of experiments that involved loud bangs and explosions.
Everyone who went had a great time. If you haven't already been its a great place for a day out.

We hope to be 'tweeting' lots of information about exciting events and things going on at school. Why not follow us.
Nuneaton Festival of Arts: Writing Section
Mrs Young worked with thirteen of our talented writers and encouraged them to write a piece of independent writing for the Festival of Arts – these were entered into the ‘original short story section’.
We were delighted to hear that many of those who entered received prizes; these included four first places, one in Yr 1, Yr4, Yr5 & Yr6.
Everyone who entered helped our school to win the Drachendale Cup. This cup was presented to the school showing the best promise with their writing – as several schools in the Nuneaton area took part – we were very proud of this award.
Those who received awards were invited (along with their parents) to a Prize giving ceremony held on Tuesday 5th May. Certificates were awarded by the adjudicator and the Mayor of Nuneaton. The winning entries, for each year group, will be on display in the Nuneaton Library, there are also pictures in the local Newspaper.

This week Year 4 had some visitors from Warwickshire Heritage Museum.
They brought with them lots of artefacts that helped us to launch our new topic in Geography entitled Weddington: Past to Present.
The children learnt all about many different types of businesses that used to operate in the local area, reading interviews with people who did many different jobs, looking online to find out more and they were also able to handle lots of artefacts from the past.
Joe said " It was brilliant"
McKenzie said " I really enjoyed it"
Evie said " I enjoyed learning all about the different jobs people did"
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
