Weddy Friends

Weddy Friends

Registered Charity Number 1081743

We like to think that Weddy Friends provides a close link between school and home and is an exceptional way to bring pupils, staff, families and friends together socially, and in support of the school, whilst working towards a common goal.  We really would like to thank you all for your support as it has allowed us to raise thousands of pounds over the years and the money raised during our events is always fed directly back into the School, to enhance our children's educational experiences.

Can you help?

Weddy Friends would like to offer a warm welcome to anyone wishing to join our committee and provide a fresh pair of eyes and ears to assist us in planning and organising future events. Our committee meetings are usually held every other month and it is at these meetings that we arrange a variety of fundraising events to span across the school year and discuss how to use the money we have raised to enrich the development of our children.

We appreciate that not everyone wants to, or has the time to, join our committee, however, help comes in many forms - such as helping run a stall at one of our fairs, providing a raffle prize from your place of work, helping to photocopy our letters or buying items to support Fairs and Discos (anything purchased is reimbursed).

We therefore encourage all parents and members of the school community to get involved as any contribution will be appreciated. We can be contacted via our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/WeddyFriends or via email: weddyfriends@gmail.com

The Borough Lottery

A great way to support us is by playing the 'Borough Lottery' each week. Not only will Weddy Friends receive part of the money you pledge but you have a chance of winning a cash prize and you are supporting your local town too.

The "Borough Lottery is an exciting weekly lottery that raises money for good causes in Nuneaton & Bedworth. All good causes supported by the lottery will benefit Nuneaton & Bedworth and its residents."

Easy Fundraising

Another great way of supporting us is by visiting your favourite online shops via our Easy Fundraising page. By this simple click, the retailers you shop with will send us a percentage of your spend.

"How does it work?

Easyfundraising turns your everyday online shopping into free donations for your favourite cause. Just start your online shopping first at easyfundraising, then shop as normal. Retailers will then make a small donation to say “thank you”.

There's over 5,861 retailers to choose from and so far we've raised over £35 million for thousands of community groups, sports clubs, schools & PTA's and small & large charities across the UK!"

Matched Funding

Matched Funding is a brilliant way of raising additional funds for the School through the Weddy Friends events.  It works by companies offering to 'match' funds raised by charitable organisations like ours.  A wide range of organisations offer Matched Funding and it can make a significant difference to the monies which Wedy Friends raise for the School.  The documents below provide more information:
