Year 5/6 Football

We are incredibly proud of our Year 5/6 Football team this year. Each and every member has put in their everything to help us achieve some wonderful victories.

Well done to all!

SEN Football

We were incredibly proud to host our first SEN football event here at Weddington – and, to our knowledge, the first of its kind in Nuneaton! Joined by children from Camp Hill Primary, the afternoon was filled with energy, enthusiasm, and a shared love of the game. Our pupils spent the afternoon developing their football skills, showing fantastic perseverance and resilience throughout. It was inspiring to see them aspiring to grow in confidence and ability, and they truly were role models for our school in every sense. Well done to everyone involved! Thanks again to our friends from Etone who came to support.

Year 3/4 Boys' Football

Year 3 and 4 Boys Football Event This week, we were thrilled to host a fantastic football event that brought together teams from our school, Camp Hill Primary, and Michael Drayton. The children who took part had a brilliant time, showing great sportsmanship, teamwork, and enthusiasm—truly living out our school values. We were especially proud of the way they represented our school, with one of our teams emerging victorious on goal difference! Many parents have shared through our questionnaire that they would love to see more enrichment opportunities like this, helping our children grow into confident Weddy Graduates and positive role models. We’re excited to announce that we plan to make this football event an annual tradition, giving even more of our children the chance to build new skills and shine as ambassadors for our school.

Girls' Football

What an amazing day of football fun at Weddington! Every single girl in our school, along with pupils from Our Lady and St Joseph’s, Camp Hill, Michael Drayton, Wolvey, St Nicolas, and Lower Farm, took part in our biggest girls' football session ever! The sun even came out to cheer us on, making the day even more memorable. We had over 300 girls take part today and we are hoping to make this an annual tradition. A huge thank you to our fantastic staff, Vision Academy, and Etone’s sports leaders for helping to run such an inspiring event. This day wasn’t just about football—it was about teamwork, confidence, and encouraging more girls into the sport. Our children truly gained so much from this experience—what a celebration of sport, learning, and our school values! ⚽🎉
