We always love to recieve letters of support and thanks. reading kind words can always brighten any day!
Here are some of the letters which have brought smiles to our faces:
Morning,
Firstly, thanks once again for allowing me to come and see your incredible show.
I wanted to write to let you know that, right from the second I walked into the hall, my mind was blown! Absolutely everything about the production was a different level. As a Drama teacher, I’ve seen MANY school shows over the years, and I can honestly say that yours was definitely one of the best I’ve ever seen, primary or secondary.
You clearly have some exceptionally talented artists at your school as the set was stunning and totally transformed your hall into a proper theatre set. The costumes were professional standard and, along with the props really brought the characters to life.
I loved the tech elements and the students and staff operating them did a great job – another element that brought the show to life, especially in the way the kids interacted with them.
And then we get to the acting of your amazing children! They were just phenomenal!! They’d obviously been directed by someone/a team of people with a real understanding of what an audience needs to see as they were clear, energetic, loud, hilarious and extremely well prepared – everything was choreographed so precisely that every child knew exactly where to be and what to do at every second.
(And, of course, it was great to see Eddie being his usual, hilarious self!)
Having said all that, the thing that stood out above all else was how much fun every cast member was having – because they loved it, the audience loved it. A really special final memory of their time at Weddington.
I’m sorry I’ve waffled on, but I just wanted you to know how impressive the whole thing was in every detail and if you could pass on my congratulations, I’d be very appreciative.
We’re very lucky to have so many talented children coming up to Higham Lane and I just hope lots of them get involved in our school shows in the future, because they’ll make them a real success.
Thanks again,
Ian
Dear Year 6 Pupils and Staff
WOW, WOW, WOW! What a show! I was absolutely blown away! It was INSANELY good! I absolutely loved every second of it and only wish I could watch it all again! I honestly felt like I was watching a show in the West End! Your talent is immense! Everyone performed incredibly with so much fun, humour and enthusiasm; it made you all such a Joy to watch. I loved the accents and comedy moments that you all delivered perfectly. I honestly couldn't find fault with any of it if I tried!
The singing! Oh my goodness the singing! Again, WOW! You all sang like absolute professionals. You were so loud and clear, and so full of energy and joy. I loved the dancing too! Again, it was so much fun! I was mesmerised by you all in every moment.
Throughout the show, the love you all had for performing radiated from you. There was no doubt, that you were all having the best time on that stage and this made it such a pleasure to watch you all. My face hurt at the end from smiling the whole way through!
I hope you all enjoyed performing it as much as we as an audience enjoyed watching you. I would honestly pay good money to watch it again! I wish I could see it again! I want everyone to see it! I feel like I can't get across to you all just how much I loved it and how incredible impressed I was with all of you.
Miss Bilson and Miss Randal, you are amazing! To put together such a high standard of show is incredible. You could see the hard work and time you had dedicated to it. And the fact the children looked like they were having best time, is credit to how empowered and celebrated you must make them feel. You most definitely deserve a well earned break! Ready to go again next year!
And to all the other staff who played a role in the set (which was incredible), dances, back drop and more. Well done. What a team!
You should all be feeling so proud and on top of the world today. I know it will be an emotional day saying goodbye, but what a show to end it all with! A memory to treasure forever.
Wishing you all lots of luck on your next school adventure. And I hope to come across some of you wonderful performers on stage again one day.

"Just wished to say thanks for having me along today. The kids in Murphy Class are all so lovely, and it was great to see them together being so kind and friendly. One additional thing to mention - I saw _____ looking out for his partner and making sure he was walking where he should if he got too close to the kerb, and he also held ______ hand too when I was helping cross the roads, which was so good of him. Thought you’d like to know he did really great. Credit where credits due!
You did this today to spread kindness, and I heard you tell the children this morning that an act like this can help bring a smile or cheer someone up, and in the process every single one of them had a smile on their face too as they walked back after putting their plants down. Including me! A great lesson for them all. Loved being part of it."
"I would just like to extend mine and ________ thanks to Miss Bilson and Mr Simpson and everyone else who has supported ________ this year. It was an incredibly difficult decision for him to make as to whether to change his school or not and has been incredibly brave in choosing to leave Weddington. We're not sure how the change will go and ________ is going to miss you so much. Thank you again.
My daughter in Year 4 attended a dodegball competition on Tuesday the 14th January. I would like to thank Mrs Molineaux and Mrs Gordon for their support as my daughter really enjoyed their company and great support. Thank you for selecting her for the next tournament"

Following a Dojo post sharing photos of our 'Chinese Dragon' workshop:
Thank you for sharing these lovely photos. As a Chinese parent, it really means a lot to see our culture being recognised and celebrated in school. Thank you for creating such a wonderful experience for them."
"Dear Mr. Patel,
Please take this email as a token of my thanks to you and your staff for their proactive and caring attitude towards my son.
This morning as we walked into school he took a rather nasty tumble cutting his face/nose rather badly. Despite this he was still very keen to come to class, which is testament to yourself and the school as a whole.
I was ever so appreciative of the speed of response and proactive approach you and all your colleagues took to help. They kept a keen eye on him Henry and after some excellent communication I was advised to take my son to the dentist for an emergency check. Thankfully the x-ray proved that his teeth and roots were healthy but the teachers' proactive approach and caring nature ensured this was not missed.
Many thanks.
Chris"
"I am the Grandfather of the above and have followed the progress of the two girls over their respective years at Weddington.
Under your care and dedication, I have seem them grow socially, emotionally and academically.
They have never uttered a negative word and when asked the time-honoured question
“ What have you done at school today?” They were always able to give me in-depth accounts and always ended by saying “A good day”
My wife and I have made numerous trips ‘ down’ from North Yorkshire to support the girls and your various innovative events and have never found it be anything less than first rate.
As a former primary headteacher, I fully understand the time, effort, patience, skill and understanding that is required.
You doubtless have your ‘ crosses to bear ‘ and your difficult days and so it is with even more credit that difficult times have never been transmitted to ***** and *****.
( You may never, of course, not experienced ‘ difficult days! ππ)
Both Evie’s and Ava’s time at Weddington ( for us ) culminated in the Year 6 productions. Simply amazing! Somebody there has a special talent for such events.
Totally inclusive and obviously enjoyed by all the cast,
I could go on but reading it would only delay your much-needed break. Make sure you enjoy it! ( even if it isn’t quite what Joe Public thinks it is)
Gratefully yours,
(from the depths of the Yorkshire Dales)"
"Hello there,
Imagine my surprise when I returned from my day out to find a beautiful plant grown by Reception children and left on my doorstep as a gift. Such a thoughtful idea and very much appreciated. I shall find a special place for it.
Thank you all so much."
"Dear Weddington Reception children,
Thank you so much for the wonderful surprise that I arrived home to find on my doorstep today.
You have all done a wonderful job of nurturing and growing your plants and I promise to take care of it and plant it in my garden so that I can watch it continue to grow.
You have made a very tired grown up smile so thank you all! βΊοΈ"
What a lovely surprise to go out of our front door and find a little plant from the Reception pupils. It was a really kind and thoughtful gift from the children and we will grow it on in our garden.
Please pass on our Thanks to the children.
Best wishes.
"Good evening,
I'm sorry that I didn't get a chance to see you before I left, so I just wanted to send an email to say thank you very much for having me this week for work experience.
I am very thankful for the opportunity you gave me, and I really appreciate the experience I gained working in reception with you. It was a valuable and enjoyable experience, and I learned a lot during my time there.
Thank you again for your kindness and support throughout the week.
Many thanks"
"I just wanted to say a huge thank you to you and to anyone else who helped with organising yesterday. It was great to meet you and your cheerful presence and valuable help throughout the day was really appreciated. The children really seemed to enjoy it and your pupils were a real credit to themselves, their families and your school."
"Well done Year 3,
Your Stone Age vistor thought you were all awesome and asked us to pass on his thanks for a wonderful day. He said that the children and staff were lovely and very welcoming."
"It is always his pleasure to take the children. They are so polite, always say good morning and always say thank you. They are ALWAYS well-behaved – their behaviour is a credit to the school, and they are by far the best class that I have ever taken to swimming classes."
"Just wanted to take the time to commend the group on their behaviour during the session, they were all very calm, had beautiful manners, excellent attitudes towards learning and problem solving, and were an absolute pleasure to teach!"

Hello,
My name is Mia, and I attended the school last Thursday for the coding club.
Just wanted to take the time to commend the group on their behaviour during the session, they were all very calm, had beautiful manners, excellent attitudes towards learning and problem solving, and were an absolute pleasure to teach.
The whole group were an excellent respresentation of the schools standards, and I feel each and every one of them deserves recognition for their good behaviour.
In particular, there was one student that really stood out and excelled at the course content, and was working to a very advanced level, and was able to problem solve any issues that I put in front of him. His name is Thomas, and I feel like he also deserves particular recognition for his dedication to the subject area.
Overall, they were an absolute delight, and I think it's important that this is relayed back to the school so that it can be praised and reinforced.
Best wishes,
Mia

"Dear Mr Patel,
I would like to highlight to you some outstanding work undertaken by Miss Daffern.
I have been involved with the school for many years and along with others have often been frustrated with the lack of participation in extra curriculum representative sport, especially when you see some of the exceptional talent of some Weddington pupils.
I share your strong belief that school is for the academic learning, but sports have an important place in young people’s development. They are often the only positive outlet for some and for others they can offer some well needed mental health benefits.
Yesterday saw 11 boys from year 5 represent the school in Milby Football Tournament. 16 schools from the District were present.
I can say without fear of contradiction that they did you and the school proud. They were without doubt the smartest, well-disciplined and respectful team present. They have a couple of very talented players, but they played so well as a team. They were passing and praising each other, with rolling substitutions and a real team ethos.
Between games they were supporting Club Team mates from other schools and sitting in a smart line offering positive feedback.
I am not aware of the funding stream supporting Vision, the match kit and coaching, but I would like to echo the other parents and careers on the sideline with a massive thank you (Their kit was the best!).
The team made it to the final and lost on penalties, I hope that this is not an omen for the World Cup this months, but their dignity and resolve was a true testament to the team and rarely seen at this age.
Can I please reiterate that none of this would have been possible without the time, effort and commitment of Miss Daffern. Dedicating a true investment in the children, in her own time and without impact on their studies. She showed a real passion that you should be immensely proud of."
"My daughters joined Weddington primary school 18 months ago and I have nothing but praise for the school and teachers! They both love school and it’s due to the constant commitment that the staff there show to all the children that are helping them thrive!"
