Aldi and Kristian Thomas
To celebrate the upcoming opening of their new store, Aldi kindly brought us in lots of fruit to share and enjoy.
They didn't just get any old person to bring it in, oh no! Weddington were lucky enough to get a very special visit from Olympic gymnast, Kristian Thomas!
Kristian gave a truly awesome demonstration of his out of this world gymnastic skills. He showed us exactly what is possible with determination, a healthy lifestyle and lots of hard work. We really couldn't believe our eyes, amazing! There were lots of gasps of excitement throughout, especially as he hurtled over children (and staff) with his diving forwards roll and walking hand stands over the pupils!
He didn't stop there though, he stayed to give insightful answers to lots of our questions, reiterating the importance of eating well and exercising to ensure we are fit and healthy enough to achieve our dreams.
After that, some of us were even lucky enough to have our photos snapped with the truly inspirational Kristian.
We'd like to say a huge thank you to Aldi for the fruit and a massive thank you to Kristian Thomas for giving up his time to come and see us and showcase his skills.
