TIME OF ARRIVAL AT SCHOOL: between 7:25 – 7:35am We need to register, sort packed lunches, make toilet trips and seat children on the coaches for a departure at 8am. Children should enter school through the side door near Key Stage 2 hall (staff will be visible) and go straight to their YEAR 5 classroom. Due to departing around when the school day starts, we would appreciate if you do not stay to wave children off. Unfortunately, we will be unable to wait for late comers. The coach will be departing promptly at 8am. CLOTHING / GIFT SHOP money: School uniform must be worn. Children must bring a warm coat with accessories (if required) depending on weather conditions (gloves, hat and scarf). We will visit the gift shop, maximum £5 per child – to be placed in a sealed, named envelope and given to group leader by each child once in school. FOOD: All children will need to bring with them a packed lunch in a disposable carrier bag with their name clearly labelled. These will be thrown away once we’ve eaten. Packed lunches will be left in a designated room upon arrival at Jodrell Bank. A reminder that fizzy drinks and any food containing nuts are not allowed. Drink bottles will also need to be disposable to be thrown away after our lunch slot. If your child suffers with travel sickness, please ensure they have had a tablet before the trip leaves and/or are wearing their motion sickness wristbands. Children may NOT bring phones, electronic devices or cameras to Jodrell Bank. We will take plenty of photos on the day. The phones of those children who usually bring them to school will remain at school in the usual safe place until we return. ARRANGEMENTS FOR THE RETURN TO SCHOOL We are due to leave Jodrell Bank at 3pm. On return to school, ALL children will go into the Key Stage 2 hall to return hi-vis jackets. We will use the text messaging system MyEd and Class Dojo if we are going to be much later than our estimated return time of 5pm. Due to returning back at 5pm, NO children will be allowed to walk home alone, including those who are normally allowed to do so at 3:15.
